Brunei Wiki

This is not about politic or whatsoever related to it. I'm one of wikipedia fans. There's language option on the right side of the website. That option allows reader to read wiki's contains in their own language (localization).

This is what I found long time ago. I wonder why "Bahasa Melayu" belongs/handles to/by Malaysian. What I mean is.. we here in Brunei use "Bahasa Melayu" too. There's only slight differences in both languages.. but we still use "Melayu" language.

It's better if they (anyone) put

Bahasa Malaysia - for Malaysia
Bahasa Brunei (Standard) - for Brunei
Bahasa Indonesia - for Indonesia

Bah.. Brunei Yakin.

It's not uncommon for a country to "control" a language. Even Americans speak "English" and they try all they can to change it and be different, and thus have "American English".

But why do you want to separate our language from Malaysia's? That would seem like alienating our neighbours. Look at the countries that speak Spanish. Argentinians aren't applying for a separate Argentinian language? Mexicans aren't applying for a separate Mexican language? And they are much bigger countries than us.

There can be a separate Google for Brunei but maybe not wiki.

The point is.. first come, first serve.. if you claim first, then it's yours. All I want is co-operation.. we should work together.

I'm not the one who want to separate our language from Malaysia. Adakah awda faham? :D.
