Brunei Darussalam - "A Kingdom of Unexpected Treasure" - (Proof?)

Live brunet webcam only can view selected places that brunet has set.

Google Earth (GE) allows us to view satellite image of all around the world. The latest version of GE has clearer view of Brunei.

About the picture above, I still wonder that shape somewhere at the sea. Maybe it's where Brunei Expected Treasure lies. You people can zoom it more if you already install the GE, it's free for sure.

Watching Brunei Live

I visited brunet a couple days ago. To my surprise, brunet website has improved and provide more services. Good job there.. (not like UBD web). Brunet also provides blog account for their subscribers, it's a nice start here in Brunei.

I have requested brunet blog account invitation through email. Unfortunately, they asked me to call 121 because they said "you need a brunet email/account" if you want to open brunet blog. I don't see the logic here because I sent my request through my brunet email. I'll call 121 sooner or later, maybe it's their procedure, that isn't hard anyway.

Ok, the most interesting thing from brunet website is the live webcam. Anyone out there, no matter where you are, you can watch Gadong, The Mall, Jln Sultan, TelBru headquarter, Beribi Roundabout, Kiarong Roundabout. You need to install Streaming Explorer to view them (Internet Explorer only).

UBD 3rd Science and Technology Week - OGDC Techâ„¢ Challenge Competition 2006

This afternoon just now, there was tech challenge held in UBD chancellor hall. Eighteen groups consist of four members joined the competition (UBD and ITB students only). There were two challenge, I forgot the name but I know the first one something to do with aeroplane and the second one was about free fall of marble.

I just want to congrat a team from Computer Science, called themself zugzwang (a german word). The team members were me, green girl, has_ayono and alien-r. We won third place unofficially.. sort of. Actually, what happened just now was, during the prize presentation they announced the third place winner wrongly. Only few knew we won!!! We missed the hall of fame photos session, but that was not important.

I want to congrat to civil engineering students from ITB as well. They had tie-break match with our group to decide the third place winner. Luck was with us, great job by has_ayono.

Team work, general skills and good use of strategy were the keys to winning. It's not about whether your are pyhsics, maths, chemistry, engineering students or what so ever.
